Frequently Asked Questions
Question: What are the different types of incisions used for breast lifts?
Answer: At minimal, there is an incision around the areola, referred by as a "periareolar" incision. There is also usually an incision that goes down the length of the breast, referred to as a "vertical scar". At maximum, there are both incisions plus an incision on the lower part of the breast or breast crease. This incision is called an "anchor" incision.
